Sarah Suatoni
integrates several approaches in order to help people.
Sarah offers psychological counseling for individuals, couples, and families as well as therapeutic bodywork for people in physical pain. In some cases, she combines these modalities to help those struggling with issues that involve both mind and body. She specializes in working with sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, sexual dysfunction, chronic pain, and severe injuries. Sarah also works frequently with couples and tween age girls.
Her training is grounded in the belief that physical and emotional symptoms are best understood as a reflection of past events and current circumstances. Whether the problem is physical pain or psychological distress, Sarah engages in a process of understanding the problem, analyzing the sources of the issue, providing support and empathy, and offering concrete tools for change.
Her role shifts from witness, to collaborator, guide, and teacher at different points. She draws from Archetypal, Analytic, and Humanistic Psychology along with Systems Theory, Structural Integration, Hellerwork, Yoga, and Dance in order to help people find solutions that are practical and transformational. The work is rooted in the knowledge that all people possess the ability to heal and thrive. |
